Adding RSS feeds to your campaign

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a web feed format used to publish frequently updated content such as news, blogs or products.

Adding an RSS feed to your campaign makes it easy to save time whilst including relevant content to your users, particularly if you are automating your email sends.

An RSS feed element in your campaign will show title, summary and link for the most recent items in the specified feed.

To get started, drag an RSS element into your campaign from the sidebar.

Drop it into a dropzone and then click on edit to configure how the speed will be displayed.

The Edit RSS feed screen allows you to choose:

  • The URL of the RSS feed you want to insert; we will let you know if the URL contains valid RSS
  • The number of items to display (we will show the most recent ones)
  • The font, size, color, style and alignment of your content (you can also edit the HTML)
  • Whether to include a Read more link and what it should say

There is a preview in the edit window as to how this will appear and you can see how the RSS feed will appear by using the preview tool.
