As of June 8th 2016, we have released a new set of email templates designed to work seamlessly with all modern devices.
As a result of this change, older building blocks designed for our older templates will not work in the new templates. Likewise, new-style building blocks are not compatible with older campaigns either.
What's the problem?
The problem is in the the way that our old building blocks were marked up with set pixel widths on many different parts of the elements. This is completely incompatible with the new-style templates, which don't rely so heavily on pixel widths.
The real issue here is that including an old-style building block in a new-style template will simply break that template on most mobile devices.
Simply put, you are better off using one of our old-style templates, if you want to use your old building blocks.
How can I use my old building blocks?
The easiest way is to use an existing template saved in your account. If you don't have one, you can create a template from a sent campaign:
- Find your existing campaign
- Check the box to the left of the campaign
- From the More actions dropdown, select Copy to library.
How about new-style building blocks?
Any new-style building blocks you create will not work in existing campaigns, so, as above, you will not be able to use building blocks created for a new-style template in an old-style campaign.
