Images in the Drag&Drop Editor

Images in the Drag&Drop Editor

Upload new images

  1. In the Drag & Drop editor, in the left-side column, expand the Images drop-down menu.

  2. Select + to add an image.

  3. On the file upload window, find and select the image you want to upload.

  4. You can also drag images from your computer into the images side panel.

If you want to upload multiple images, organize your images into folders, or crop, resize and edit images, select Manage to open the image manager.

Delete an image

To delete an image from the side panel, drag the image onto the trash can icon.

Insert an image

Once your images appear in the side panel, you can drag and drop them directly into your template.

As you drag the image over the template, dropbars appear above and below existing blocks and containers showing you the positions you can insert your image. Release the image over a dropbar to insert it there.

If you're inserting an image into a text area, then as you drag the image over the block, a drop box appears to show you where you can place the image. Release the image to insert it into the template.

Images dropped into your template are automatically scaled in proportion.

You can select an image and use the resize handle to make the image larger or smaller; as you scale the image, the revised sizes (width and height) are shown in a box just above the image.

If you want to scale an image to only change the height or width, then you need to edit the image by clicking on Manage and cropping it within the image manager.

The images toolbar

When you select an image within your template, the toolbar automatically changes and the side panel expands to show all the images you've uploaded.

The images toolbar contains the following features:

Link

The Link button lets you add links to your images. These could be links to webpages or special links such as links to the unsubscribe page or a survey.

Align

There are several image alignment options available, covering left, right and center.

If you've inserted an image within a text block then the Inline option ensures that you can display your image with text above and below it.

Image title

This allows you to enter a name for your image.

Spacing

Margins can be set to add space to each side of your image, setting a distance between the image and the surrounding text.

Each side of the image can have a different margin; this is set by specifying the number of pixels and clicking on the top, bottom, left or right-hand side of the image graphic.

You can't set margins on image blocks. Instead, use the Borders & padding tool under Styles.

Replace an image

To replace an existing image, simply drag the new image over the existing image and release. The new image is inserted and automatically scaled to fill the block it was inserted into.

Edit images in the Image manager

You can use the image manager to edit many aspects of your image, from the visual appearance to overlaying text and stickers.
